Their Stories Won’t Last Forever
Ask the questions before it’s too late.
Tell Me Your Life Story is a guided journal that helps the people you love write down the memories you never thought to ask about.
Most of us know our parents and grandparents only as Mom, Dad, Grandma and Grandpa. We rarely hear about the life they lived before us: where they grew up, their first job, how they fell in love, what they’d do differently.
This isn’t a blank notebook they’ll never start.
Not another gift that ends up in a drawer.
200+ simple questions, organized by life stage, that they answer at their own pace, in their own handwriting.
Because one day, their words will be the most precious thing you own.

Priceless Gift for Dad
I bought Tell Me Your Life Story, Dad for my father, and it’s one of the best gifts I’ve ever given him. He doesn’t really like to write, but the guided prompts make it easy for him to tell his stories a little at a time, so I think it works for any dad, sentimental or not. It’s worth so much more than the price because it saves his memories and advice in his own words, and our family will keep it and pass it down for generations. If you’re looking for a meaningful gift for your dad, I highly recommend it.
Great Gift For Mom
I got this for my mom's birthday and she's been journaling every morning with her coffee. The book is pretty good quality. She told me that these writing exercises really made her think about fond memories in her life and made her quite emotional in a good way.. I'd love to order one for my grandma but unfortunately now it is too late as her dementia has taken a big chunk of her memories away, including her ability to even read and write. Don't wait until it is too late. Highly recommend.
Great to reflect
Comprehensive questions with plenty of writing space to share your life. Also several blank pages to provide additional information or perhaps tape pictures on. I was amazed at the number of memories that I had even forgotten. It was fun completing this book and seeing your life on paper.
Beautiful way to capture memories
I got this for my mom. The prompts are meaningful but easy to follow, and they really helped her open up and reflect on her life. from childhood to motherhood and everything in between. It’s not overwhelming, and it feels like a gentle conversation. Can’t wait to read through it one day and keep it as a family keepsake. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to preserve their mom’s story in her own words
Lovely
Best Christmas gift
Such an amazing gift.. absolutely love it.. great quality
I bought this and gave to my dad for a father's day present... we both absolutely LOVE IT!!! Great quality, good questions.. I like how there's longer questions and then at the end a few pages of short quick answer stuff. It's such an amazing idea this book and I am so happy I stumbled upon it. I can't wait for my dad to finish it. It's something I will cherish and pass down to generations once completed. I would upload a video but it's at my dad's.
Amazing Idea
We tried for years to get our now 90+ dad to write down his stories. But where to start? This book asks questions from the basic to the profound. They trigger long forgotten memories and make for an enriching time when done together in interview format. We began with some random easy ones: I asked, he answered, I wrote down his responses. It was a lot of fun. The time whizzed by. I see many more sessions ahead. Recommend.
Great
There is a lot of space to write.
Good questions.
I recommend it.

They do. You give them the journal, they answer the questions in their own words, and when it’s done it comes back to you as a keepsake you’ll have forever.
Yes, and a lot of families do. Ask one question on your weekly phone call or at Sunday dinner, and grandkids love joining in. It’s a simple way to spend real time together.
That’s okay. You can read the questions out loud and write their answers down for them. Many families turn it into a conversation over coffee or during a visit, and those end up being the best pages.
They can skip it. Every answer is optional, so they share only what they’re comfortable sharing and come back to a question later if they want.
No. They can open to any page and start with whatever story they feel like telling that day. Every question stands on its own.
Yes. The questions are printed in English, but they can write their answers in whatever language feels most natural. Many families say stories written in the language they grew up speaking mean even more.
Most questions take just a few minutes. Some people finish in a few weeks, and others take their time over a year. There’s no deadline and no wrong pace.
It becomes a family heirloom. Keep the original somewhere safe, and scan or photograph the pages so siblings and grandkids can have their own copy.
